In 2021 we started the audit process to become a member of the FCSA (Freelancer and Contractor Services Association), the industry-leading regulatory body, and we are very pleased to say that we have now officially joined and gained their accreditation for both the Umbrella and CIS models.
The Freelancer & Contractor Services Association (FCSA) is a professional member organisation for the temporary labour market. Their members include umbrella employment companies, limited company advisors, professional employment organisations, and CIS/self-employed contractor providers.
With stringent rules for gaining and retaining membership, the FCSA takes a zero-tolerance approach if any member is found to have stopped complying with any part of the Code. They exist to support and nurture ethical and compliant practices in the absence of sector regulation.
As an FCSA-accredited organisation, we can officially say we are at the top of our game.
The FCSA says, “accreditation is recognised as the industry’s compliance gold standard. Accreditation is awarded to … providers who can demonstrate the highest industry standards.”
To be FCSA accredited, we must adhere to their rigorous assessments. We are checked against their mandatory Charter and Code of Compliance independently audited by nationally renowned professional service firms and must prove our compliance annually.
Our accreditation gives our clients and our workforce confidence in our ability to provide our services whilst giving them the security of knowing that we are continuously working towards raising standards within our sector. We have long worked hard to push the importance of compliance within our industry, and becoming a fully Accredited Member provides us with a foundation and a platform to continue this mission.
